Around Christmas time, there are Protea Flowers in buckets lining the roadside. They are for sale with home made signs and with honesty boxes, usually with honey and avocados as well. I love the Protea Flowers, they grow on sticks and are extremely tough. They remind me of these roadside stalls and an exciting time of year.
